Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Origins fixed following broken state on Windows 11
The Windows 11 24H2 update led to a lot of technical woes for Ubisoft games, some of those being Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Origins. Well, they have been fixed. This comes after a slew of users began negatively reviewing the game, which was heavily promoted on a Steam sale, likely leading to an onslaught of negative attention.
As reported by GamingBolt, the small updates for each game is solely released to fix the compatibility issues. Origins was particularly bad as it went from a Very Positive rating to Mixed on Steam. We can chalk that up to the Steam sale that it was promoted within for two weeks while the game was borked, definitely not helping it gain the favor of the community.
Ubisoft never even addressed the issue head-on, instead giving no warning on the Steam page or on social media. This has been an ongoing issue since November and the said issues include crashing and severe performance drops.
Other titles affected, including Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Star Wars Outlaws are still running into issues for some users.
