A van that was carrying several children flipped several times during a crash on I-75 Friday.

Around 11:40 a.m. Montgomery County deputies were called I-75 southbound near Needmore Road for a crash with injuries.
A box truck driven by an 82-year-old man was attempting to merge into the contraflow lane from the center lane when it clipped the back of a nine-passenger van, according to a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The van slid sideways, hitting the start of the wall separating the contraflow lane from the other two lanes, and flipped multiple times.
While flipping, the van hit the back of a Toyota Carolla.
Seven children and two adults were in the van, according to the sheriff’s office.
All injuries were minor and the people in the Toyota were not injured.
The crash caused the attenuator at the end of the barrier wall to be crushed and ripped from the pavement. It was also thrown across the right two lanes.
Ohio Department of Transportation crews are working to fix the damage.
The lanes were opened around 5:20 p.m.
