Power has been restored to over 35,000 households in southern Oregon on Tuesday after a mysterious power outage.

Pacific Power, a utility company, said the outage affected Glide, Myrtle Creek, Oakland, Roseburg, Sutherlin, Winchester, and Winston customers. There are about 45,000 households in all of Douglas County, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Crews were dispatched to investigate the outage, make repairs and work to restore services as quickly as possible to the affected areas.

The cause of the outage was unknown as of late Tuesday.

Over 4,000 Douglas Electric Cooperative customers west of Roseburg, including substations in Camas, Tenmile, Lookingglass, Melrose, and Umpqua, were also affected by outages Tuesday morning.
