Indus Battle Royale gets vehicle and emote updates alongside more under the hood improvements

We’ve covered Indus Battle Royale a lot over the past year or so, and I’m pleased that we can finally start digging into new updates! So, let’s see what’s on offer as patch 1.4.0 arrives in Indus Battle Royale; including some changes to vehicles, emotes and under-the-hood improvements!

For those of you familiar with Indus, you’ll be glad to learn that the Toofan vehicle is getting an overhaul. Now, you’ll not only be using it for transport but you’ll also be able to shoot, heal, toss grenades and smoke bombs! It also includes indicators for health and explosions, letting you decide whether daring high-speed manoeuvres are worth the risk.

Also, perhaps not the biggest update but a surely welcome one is the inclusion of emotes. You’ll be able to equip these in the pre-match menu, with emotes and expressions allowing you to show off your confidence and prowess even in the heat of battle.

Under the hood

Of course, as I wrote above it’s not just the metaphorical front of house that’s getting changes, there’s also numerous under-the-hood improvements to enjoy. Map lighting, spatial audio, loading times, sensitivity adjustments and network stability are all getting overhauls. While Indus remains in open beta, it’s clear that major improvements are something the developer is seeking to show off.

Super Gaming has even gone as far as sponsoring an Indus International Tournament that covers India and the Philippines to further promote the battle royale.
