Nintendo Switch 2 to release between April and September
Following the much-anticipated reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 earlier in the month, fans have been clambering for any and all info that might hint to when we can get the console in our hands. Well, it may be sooner than we think.
Publisher Nacon shared in some earnings reports (via GamingBolt) that it’s readying for the release of the second Switch generation, with both games and accessories at the ready. Moreover, it expects “strong growth” in the first half of 2025/2026 fiscal year “as a result” of the Switch 2.
Nacon, interestingly, is the only publisher to be confirmed to have stuff in the pipeline for the Switch 2, which has a proper Direct planned for April, the rest are treading carefully, with only rumors bubbling up about projects for the new upcoming hybrid system.
Nacon, for those who don’t know, is the publisher behind games like RoboCop: Rouge City, Ravenswatch, Steelrising, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, and more. Technically speaking, even Nintendo has only teased one project, that being a new Mario Kart. You can learn more about what we learned from the reveal or what franchises we’d love to see appear on the new console.
A proper Switch 2 Nintendo Direct kicks off on April 2.
