Looks like Peter Parker is no longer the best Spider hero when compared to Peni Parker in Marvel Rivals. The Vanguard has been a favourite among Marvel Rivals players and she’s still going strong in Season 1.

Her abilities can seemingly decimate opponents and also interrupt Ultimates making her a force to be reckoned with. When teamed with characters like Venom, Peni Parker can absolutely dominate matches thanks to the pair’s synergy. 

Marvel Rivals players can bring us some exciting moments. As is always the case with competitive shooters, kills that require skills are always impressive. Whether it’s a 360 no-scope or a sneaky multi-kill thanks to a strategic grenade launch, it makes for some impressive content.

Sometimes these strategies come from exploits and while they are impressive, chances are the developers may get rid of opportunities like this. Marvel Rivals may see some changes in their next update thanks to a newly discovered exploit.

Peni Parker has an insane advantage in Marvel Rivals!

Marvel Rivals players are always looking for ways to improve their game. The creators designed the game where strategy plays a crucial role in how matches flow. Players are coming up with new strategies and team compositions almost every day at this point!

With Peni Parker being the character of choice for many, it’s almost a certainty that players would find an exploit. That assumption is now a reality as Reddit user Sark00_ showcased an almost overpowered ability:

One of the biggest reasons why Peni Parker is one of the most picked Marvel Rivals characters is because of her Arachno-Mine ability. Players can rack up the kill count if this ability is used in the right way. The use of this exploit turns her already powerful trap into a devastating missile.

The usual strategy, popularly known as the “spawn trap”, involves placing mines right at the spawn doors. This will blast players into oblivion and increase Peni Parker’s kill count. Though powerful, the range of these mines isn’t that long, or at least that’s what the Marvel Rivals community believed until Sark00_’s update.

The changes that came with Season 1 have made some characters a little too powerful causing speculation about a possible nerf. Peni Parker may also fall victim to these changes. However, it is doubtful that this will affect her popularity in Marvel Rivals considering her win rates.  

Will Marvel Rivals nerf Peni Parker?

Though Peni Parker’s newfound ability is a fun watch and may indeed make Marvel Rivals more interesting, chances are that it won’t last. Many players who don’t main Peni Parker have spoken about how terrifying it is to face her and believe that a nerf is in order. However, Peni mains believe that there are enough and more counters to beat her.

What the Marvel Rivals team decides with regards to this newly discovered exploit, remains to be seen. However, this discovery by itself shows how far Marvel Rivals fans are willing to go to improve their experience. Coming up with exciting new strategies is one thing but it’s always impressive when someone finds technical abnormalities in a multi-million dollar project. 

With players like these, it is certain that the dominance of Marvel Rivals won’t end anytime soon. Instead, it will only get better. This exploit may have just opened the doors for completely new strategies and playstyles. From this point on, Marvel Rivals is only going to get better.
