Here’s where to watch the Xbox Developer Direct live stream
The first Xbox Developer Direct showcase of the year kicks off on Thursday, and you can watch it here.
It promises to be a big day for Xbox and its fans, featuring extended gameplay and developer insights for four titles headed to Series X/S consoles, PC, and Game Pass.
According to Microsoft, the Direct will include a visit to Compulsion Games in Montreal to learn more about South of Midnight, Montpellier-based Sandfall Interactive for a look at Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and id Studios in Richardson, Texas for more info on DOOM: The Dark Ages.
The live stream will also visit “a surprise location to see another studio’s brand new game.”
The presentation will begin at 11 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT and be viewable on various platforms including YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.
The show will also be streamed simultaneously on regional Xbox and Bethesda channels around the globe, as well as on Steam. It will also air on China’s Bilibili platform.
We’ve embedded Xbox’s YouTube stream at the top of this page, so you’ll be able to watch it live here, too. The YouTube stream will be broadcast in 4K/60.
Doom: The Dark Ages, which publisher Bethesda describes as an “FPS epic like nothing id Software has ever made before,” will take place in a medieval-style setting, featuring a prequel story set before the most recent games.
South of Midnight, meanwhile, is an adventure game that takes place in a fictionalized version of America’s Deep South, where protagonist Hazel’s hometown has been destroyed by a hurricane.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a “reactive turn-based RPG inspired by the lavish art and culture of France’s Belle Époque”, according to its developer.
