Sony was making a space shooter for its unreleased Nintendo PlayStation console

This is the Genesis of why Nes fanatics hates sony playstation. Its funny that the companies follows a lot of the same formulas today that caused a lot of the rift between them trying to make the first nes play-station.

Ken kutaragi liked nes games a lot but thought they could have stories that are more engaging like films in the cinema and wanted a more advanced hardware with the first nes play-station to make it a reality. He wanted a powerful console, more ergonomic controller with the console using cd-roms with massive storage for the time. Nintendo thought the console was too powerful and having cd-rom storage was excessive. They also thought making games for adults was a silly idea.

Looking at Nintendo and Playstation today and they basically follow the same formulas. Nintendo has weak hardware with controllers that arent really ergonic and their games are geared to children. sony makes powerful playstation hardware with ergonical controllers and have a lot of cinematic games made for young and older adults.
