Alleged animal abuser ‘Beast Boy’ arrested at NSW home

A man police allege is one of the biggest self-producers of vile online bestiality material in NSW has been arrested following a months-long investigation.

The 38-year-old man was taken into custody at a property in Moorland, north of Taree, on Tuesday following a probe into the online persona “Beast Boy”.

Uncovered during an investigation into child abuse material, the identity is alleged to have used encrypted messaging apps to share vile bestiality material.

Police allege the “Beast Boy” account, which had a large online following, shared material involving dogs, sheep, goats, chickens, and a dead kangaroo.

A dog who police allege was identified as having been sexually abused in one of the videos was seized at the address by the state’s RSPCA service.

Specialist police, with assistance from the Bomb Squad, also seized a number of electronic devices and hard drives which will be examined.

The man was meanwhile taken to Taree police station where he was charged with eight counts of bestiality and four counts of producing bestiality material.

The man also faces four counts of disseminating bestiality material, as well as possessing and using carriage service to access and solicit child abuse material.

He was refused bail to appear before Taree Local Court on Tuesday, with police warning more charges are expected as investigations continue.

The arrest comes after police in February executed searches across greater Sydney targeting child abuse material, which they allege lead them to “Beast Boy”.
