New COD may come to Game Pass day-one

It sounds like the next Call of Duty will be available on Game Pass from the get-go, something that’s a standard for Microsoft’s lineup, but many weren’t totally convinced it would continue that trend with Activision’s first-person shooter.

During an interview with Bloomberg, Xbox executive Sarah Bond suggested that yes even the massive IP that is basically the reason Activision is as popular as it is will come to Game Pass on the same day it releases. Within the interview, she notes that subscribers are going to see some “really big games” heading to the service.

As subscriber numbers fall, which it is happening, Microsoft is of course trying to remedy that and bringing something as big as Call of Duty to its game service would no doubt draw the attention some, though, there’s always that worry that it’ll get a steep price hike once COD does hit the service, which The Verge claims the American game maker is mulling over.

Of course, Xbox does have that showcase in June so perhaps we’ll know more then, but as it stands right now, we can have some safety with saying that most likely, COD will come to Game Pass, but don’t be surprised if the service gets a price hike.
