Morgott Theory is Such a Chad Moment for the Demigod, We Miss Him Already in Shadow of the Erdtree
There are many characters that gamers come across during their journey in Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Elden Ring. However, there are only some that are able to leave a significant impact on the player, including Morgott, a demigod who players wish makes an appearance once again in the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Morgott is also the very first major enemy the player encounters just before they enter Stormveil Castle. Although he is disguised as Margit, The Fell Omen, the battle with him helps set the stage for all the enemies that come after, and gives a taste of what the player might be up against when the Omen King finally returns.
As far as FromSoftware tradition goes, the studio habitually hides details within the smallest elements of the game. One such detail was pointed out by this user on Reddit, wondering if there was any reason why during our battle against Morgott, the demigod used the Carian Knight’s Sword.
Replying to the post, another user theorized how nearly all the weapons used by Morgott, especially those with a golden hue, are weapons that can be found around in The Lands Between. They further state how it’s possible that the demigod faced the wielders of the Carian Sword, and chose to use the weapon himself after defeating them, possibly as a sign of respect.

Despite being the biggest hater of anyone who dared to challenge the Golden Order, the Omen King is someone that the players grew sympathetic towards the end because of his backstory and origins. If the above-stated theory happens to be true, then it will increase fans’ willingness to encounter Morgott once again in the coming Elden Ring DLC.
To build hype around the coming expansion as it nears its release date, FromSoftware has resorted to often posting new teasers on their official social media platforms, and one of these teasers gives us an insight into one of the upcoming enemies, who looks awfully similar to someone we already know.
The tall grotesque creature, boasting horns and weapons that could potentially one-shot the player, is someone that fans believe is possibly a re-incarnated version of Morgott, owing further to the similarities between the cloak and the revealed foot.
Fans have also guessed how the said creature can turn out to be Godwyn the Golden, or an evolved version of Miquella the Kind resulting from all the otherwordly experiments Mohg, the Lord of Blood performed on the Empyrean Twin.
Elden Ring is available to purchase on Steam.
