Movie Review: Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die – The Unexpected Cinema Experience

Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the premiere of Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die with my ride-or-die best mates, and let me tell you, it was one of the most fun cinema experiences of the year! From the quality of the movie to the electrifying vibe of the cinema, everything about the night was extraordinary. The communal laughter, the spontaneous shouting at the screen—it was an experience that almost rivalled having an entire cinema to myself.

Brotherhood and Ride-or-Dies

Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die

This movie isn’t just about explosive action and hilarious comedy; it’s a celebration of brotherhood and the ride-or-die bond. A ride-or-die is someone who will either ride with you or die with you, meaning they have your back through everything—the amazing rides and the times that want to kill you. Having my ride-or-dies with me during this movie added an extra layer of joy and excitement to the experience. There’s something uniquely special about sharing these moments with those who are always there for you, through thick and thin.

A Comedy on Another Level

The comedy in Bad Boys 4 is on a whole other tier. Martin Lawrence is hilariously awesome in this film. The tangents he goes off on and his new personality quirks had me cracking up in my seat. His performance is truly a highlight, bringing an energy and humour that feels both fresh and familiar.

Will Smith: Ageless and Dynamic

Will Smith, as Mike Lowrey, looks as if he hasn’t aged a day since the first movie. His physique is impressive, and he brings the same charm and intensity that made us fall in love with his character years ago. I was elated at the return of his son, Armando (played by Jacob Scipio), adds a new dynamic to the film. Scipio’s performance is badass—he’s ripped, and charismatic, and his interactions with Smith are compelling and heartfelt. I need more of him.

Surprising Cameos and Memorable Scenes

The movie is peppered with wonderful and unexpected cameos that will delight fans. There’s one cameo, in particular, that made me really happy. Bad Boys 4 also boasts one of the best scenes of the year—an unforgettable moment set in a house with a character you least expect. This scene had the entire cinema in an uproar, almost off our seats, yelling and screaming at the screen. Trust me, it’s worth watching the movie for this moment alone. That is ALL I’m going to say, go see it!

A Few Hiccups

While the movie delivers on action and comedy, there are moments that fell flat. Some new characters felt bland and uneventful, and a few plot points didn’t quite pan out. Additionally, the excessive makeup on the female characters felt a bit off. However, these minor issues are overshadowed by the film’s overall excitement and entertainment value.

A Night to Remember

I honestly can’t remember the last time I had so much fun at a movie. Laughing, fist-bumping with my mates, and enjoying the ride—Bad Boys 4 is a great night out with your ride-or-dies. Sharing this movie with my best mates made the experience incredibly memorable.

Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die may not surpass the originality of the first movie, but it revitalizes the franchise with fresh jokes and epic action sequences that you won’t soon forget. The cinematography is insane, with camera rigs and angle shots that are phenomenal to watch. This movie reignited my love for the franchise and made me want to rewatch all the others.
