A new Fortnite setting will let players avoid seeing ā€˜confrontational emotesā€™

Epic Games has announced a new Fortnite setting that will let players toggle visibility on four emotes that ā€œcan sometimes feel a bit overly confrontationalā€.

The new ā€˜See Confrontational Emotesā€™ setting will be introduced on Tuesday as part of Fortniteā€™s v29.30 update.

It will apply to four emotes: Laugh It Up, Take the L, Whipcrack and Make It Plantain.

ā€œPlayers who choose this will see a player using the Emote standing still, with no Emote sound,ā€ Epic said.

ā€œThe new setting can be found under ā€˜Social Privacyā€™ and will default to only show these Emotes from friends in your party. You can change this setting any time, so you can see these Emotes from ANY player or not at all.ā€

Samus Aran missed out on an appearance in Fortnite because Nintendo wanted the character to be exclusive to the Switch version of the game.

Thatā€™s according to Epic Gamesā€™ former chief creative officer Donald Mustard, who said in a new interview that Epic had wanted the Metroid mascot to appear in the game alongside Kratos form God of War and Master Chief from Halo.

Earlier today, it was announced that singer-songwriter Billie Eilish is coming to Fortnite.

Confirmation that Eilish is joining music experience Fortnite Festival on April 23 arrived just days after the starā€™s appearance in the game was included on whatā€™s claimed to be a leaked 2024 content roadmap image.
