Alone in the Dark 2 looks set to join the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalogue
Alone in the Dark 2 is seemingly headed to the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalogue.
PlayStation Store listings for the game on PS4 and PS5 were recently spotted by PS Deals, a website which tracks updates on the marketplace’s backend, Gematsu reports.
The PS1 version of the survival horror game was released in 1996.
Its PlayStation Store listing reads: “The sequel to the critically acclaimed Alone in the Dark, this new adventure sees our hero, Edward Carnby, in 1923 confronting the many faces of evil in the darkness of Derceto, a house in which entering is the easy part and leaving could be hell!”
Plans to add Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare to the PlayStation Plus Classics library also leaked prior to the game joining the service earlier this year.
Embracer Group confirmed in June that it was closing Pieces Interactive, the studio behind its modern Alone in the Dark reboot, after the game failed to meet its sales expectations following its release in March.
Sony announced in September that Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain would join the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalogue in the coming months.
November’s PlayStation Plus Essential games were made available on Tuesday. This month’s titles are Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and new release Death Note Killer Within.
