Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV Show Trailer is Full of Easter Eggs to the Game That You’ll Have Missed

Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout series is going to be an original story that players have not yet experienced in any game. While the series is going to take place after the events of the games so far, given that it’s in the same universe, we are going to see many references that pay homage to the game series.

In fact, the trailer itself showed several references and easter eggs to the game that would have caught any fans’ attention already. Here are some of the Easter eggs you may have missed that hint at Jonathan Nolan’s attention to detail.

Exiting the Vault

Four of the six current Fallout games begin with the player exiting the vault, a moment when they get to witness the horrors and remnants of nuclear war firsthand. The series is going to be no different, with our protagonist, Lucy, played by Ella Purnell, shielding her eyes as the metal door of Vault 33 slowly slides open in front of her.

The Pests of Fallout

Radroaches have made an appearance in every game ever since Fallout 3 and have now become a defining element within the world. A Fallout series without a mention of these giant bugs would feel incomplete, and it seems Jonathan Nolan knew how important they were to be in the series.

Mr. Handy

The multipurpose robot has been a staple in every Fallout game ever since the first in the series. While they are designed to oversee the happenings within the vault and aid in maintenance and other tasks, they are not as harmless as they appear. The one in the trailer sedates Lucy in a bid to harvest her organs, after all.

The Prydwen

The large blimp-like craft shown in the trailer may be the real Prydwen from Fallout 4, or definitely a reference to it. The Prydwen is an airborne ship that also functions as a base of command and mobile headquarters for the Brotherhood of Steel faction. With their presence in the series very explicitly stated, we could be seeing similar airships used by the collective.

Yao Guai

Speaking of the power armor, we also see it in use in the trailer against one of the tougher foes in the Fallout universe: the Yao Guai. These are American black bears that have been affected by radiation, causing horrific changes to the body such as razor-sharp claws and a very aggressive temperament.

The Wanamingo

First shown in Fallout 2, the Wanamingo is a strange creature that does not have a specific point of origin. One thing that is known is that they are aggressive and cause some serious harm to the player.

With the Fallout series set to launch on April 11, what game reference are you most looking forward to? Let us know below.
