Amber alert has been cancelled, children have been safely found
Stoughton Police Department have announced that the three children reported missing earlier on Friday have been safely located in a Jamaica Plain neighborhood, following an amber alert issued statewide.
Police were searching for Ashley Vazquez, 29, of Stoughton who was believed to have taken her 3 children, ages 10, 9, and 8.
With the assistance from multiple Massachusetts law enforcement agencies, including Massachusetts State Police Critical Incident Technical Investigations Team and the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section task force, Stoughton police were able to locate the children at approximately 10:30pm on Friday in a Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
Using geolocation technology allowed investigators to locate Vazquez vehicle.
Details regarding the situation still remain under investigation.
