Another Leak Points To Red Dead Redemption Release On PC

Even after several leaks, Rockstar still hasn’t officially announced Red Dead Redemption for PC. However, a new leak suggests that it’s still in the cards.

According to Twitter user TezFunz2, Rockstar accidentally included the metadata for the first Red Dead Redemption game on PC with its new launcher update. Additionally, the game has supposedly shown up on Steam’s database, indicating that the PC version will also release on that platform.

Rumors of a PC port started when TezFunz2 posted a screenshot they claimed was pulled from a Rockstar launcher site file that had a description of the game. There were also several other leaks that pointed to a PC release, including an Epic Games Store database leak, as well as it being briefly mentioned on PlayStation Network.

Red Dead Redemption was first released for Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2010, and received modern ports to Switch and PS4 in 2023. Its sequel received a PC port back in 2019, so it’s about time that its predecessor does the same.

In GameSpot’s Red Dead Redemption review, we said, “This stunning Wild West epic raises the bar for open world action games, and stakes its claim as one of the most engaging games this year.”
