Are the Machines Researching on a Bug-Automaton Hybrid?

The Second Galactic War escalated after the Helldivers 2 community failed to complete a recent Major Order and players are now speculating that they will face a fusion of bugs and bots soon. Some players have spotted Terminid bodies on Automatons planets, sparking rumors that Automatons are hunting down the bugs to study them.

Many players have also claimed that some Automatons have flesh-like components inside them, but it is to be noted that the red liquid that spills out of these Automaton units is oil. To back up this theory, some screenshots have been circulating on social media that show some Automaton units have more than just metal inside them. Players believe that these are hints of a crossover between these two factions.

Helldivers 2 players panic as Automatons may be studying corpses of Terminids

A clip is currently going viral on Instagram posted by Gollywamp, that shows evidence of Automatons studying the corpses of Terminids. Players have found dismembered Terminids on Automaton planets and this theory is further backed up by the existence of Automaton units that seemingly have flesh-like components.

Roughly 2 months ago, a post on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit sparked discussions on this topic but players just concluded that Automatons are soulless machines that have red-colored oil in them. The skulls on them are believed to be just ornaments that they have gathered from dead bodies. Now, players believe that Automatons are studying the Terminids to create stronger Automaton units to defeat the Helldivers 2 community.

The Second Galactic War has prepared fans for the worst

Helldivers 2 players recently failed a Major Order which required them to kill 2 billion Automatons and as a result, the war has further escalated into the Second Galactic War. Stats have revealed that Helldivers 2 is losing its fanbase at an alarming rate but hardcore Helldivers 2 fans have been fighting hard on the battlefield to complete the Major Orders. On top of this, the recent PSN account linking policy also heavily damaged Helldivers 2‘s reputation, forcing many PC players to uninstall the game.

Players believe that the lack of new content has made Helldivers 2 boring, and Arrowhead is doing everything it can to keep the game’s hype alive. By completing the new Major Order, players can unlock a new Exosuit with a dual-autocannon called EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit. Arrowhead has finally realized what players want as the new Stratagem has already convinced many players to return to the game.
