Arrowhead Needs to Listen to the Community Now More Than Ever as the Player Count of Helldivers 2 Continues to Dwindle
Helldivers 2 is a massive triumph for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arrowhead Game Studios. The live service game brought the users of the PlayStation 5 and PC platforms together as they fought to protect the freedom of Super Earth and its citizens in the Second Galactic War.
The gaming community is up for any challenge; however, there are some rare instances when enemy factions can get too overpowered and will likely dissuade some players from participating. The developers should observe how well certain enemies are doing and how it may affect the player experience.
Some Helldivers 2 Enemies Are Too Overpowered and Are in Dire Need of Being Nerfed
Arrowhead Game Studios had a clear vision for the project and how it would bring together the gaming community. Unfortunately, after recent fiascos caused by the publisher, the Helldivers 2 player count is dwindling, which is not ideal for a live service project that is expected to last at least a few years into the future.
The recent controversy about linking an active PlayStation Network account to the Steam accounts of PC users drove a wedge between the developers and the gaming community.
The game is not what it used to be given all the technical issues and controversies that transpired in the past few months, and some hardcore players are concerned about accomplishing the current major order, especially now that they are low on manpower.
I really hope they fix and nerf this HORRIBLE enemy in the upcoming update

The gaming community is game to face anything the developers throw at it; however, there is a fine line between challenging and a nuisance. Some enemy types can be too overpowered, making them a headache for some players and could discourage them from playing as they are hoping that Arrowhead Game Studios will make the necessary adjustments.
Other fans reached out to director Johan Pilestedt about their grievances and hoped that some form of change would take place to address their concerns. Pilestedt acknowledges that the team made some changes for the sake of balancing and scaling; however, the efforts to do so have gone too far and left a negative impact on the community’s experience.
The Gaming Community Has High Hopes for the Next Major Helldivers 2 Update
There is nothing wrong with giving the community a run for its money by introducing a powerful enemy type; however, the developers must consider how the gaming community will react and if it will have any negative implications in the following months.
Players wanted to feel invincible while the developers intended to teach them a lesson that there will be more powerful enemies in a war and to experience the struggle as a team. It does not make the situation any easier if some enemies are too powerful to beat realistically.
Despite their hard work, their energy and effort will be spent fighting an enemy designed to be too much of a headache and a threat. The players are doing their part by exerting the necessary amount of effort to succeed and it is only prudent for the developers to dial it down.
Arrowhead Game Studios has a great thing going, and it is best to protect those left by not making them uncomfortable. Change is necessary in the live service genre and there is no shame in making adjustments like nerfing and buffing.
