Astro Bot: Creamy Canyon Collectible Locations

Without a doubt, Astro Bot has become one of the most remarkable hits of the year for PlayStation. This game is filled with nostalgia, combined with spectacular level and control design, showcasing a kind of before and after in the 3D platformer genre that was in much need of a new iconic series.

Like any game of this kind, there are many collectibles to find throughout all its levels. This is a guide on how to locate the 7 bots, 3 puzzle pieces, in Creamy Canyon from Gorilla Nebula levels of Astro Bot.

Bot #1 (Snake Bot)

At the start of the Creamy Canyon level, you will quickly defeat three enemies and discover the first bot hanging from a tree. This is one of the game’s outstanding references, as this particular bot belongs to the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

After hitting the tree, you can collect the prized Snake Bot, which will join the first of the seven available robots in this level. This is one of the most iconic characters to ever appear in a PlayStation game.

Puzzle Piece #1

You can follow a small passage to the right of the tree where Snake Bot is located, which leads to a snowman and two enemies.

After defeating these two enemies and clearing the snow with an attack, you can pull a cable to unlock the first puzzle piece of the three available in Creamy Canyon. This particular area is very difficult because it has a ton of secrets to unlock, one after the other.

Bot #2

Before proceeding with the rest of the level in Astro Bot, you can access an icy hallway on the right, directly next to the platform they need to jump onto. At the end of this hallway lies the second of the seven bots that need saving in this level.

One of the unique aspects of this area is that it’s fairly hidden and not easily visible unless accessed directly. You must descend into this area to gain access to this boss.

The second of the three puzzle pieces is found later in the level, just after climbing a platform where a spider serves as a trampoline in the middle of a snowy circle.

In this part, you can also rescue another one of the bots. After hitting the spider to use it as a trampoline, players must approach a giant ice seal, which has the puzzle piece next to it. This seal will also serve later as a key element for unlocking a secret.

Bot #3 (Psycho Mantis Bot)

If you reach the platform where the ice seal is located, they can wait there until a UFO-shaped robot approaches, holding the next bot captive.

You can free Psycho Mantis Bot from the Metal Gear Solid series by hitting the UFO, which will automatically release the bot, enabling individuals to rescue it. This legendary enemy employed one of the more original mechanics to defeat him, thanks to Hideo Kojima.

Bot #4

This is one of the most challenging bots to find, as you must perform several actions to access its hiding spot. After rescuing the Psycho Mantis Bot, you will proceed along a hallway until they come across an attacking pig.

The peculiarity of this pig lies in its ability to break ice, which is essential for shattering a piece of ice within its snowy circle. Once you break the ice, a crack will appear, and you can enter by spinning. Once inside, you will defeat an enemy and discover the fourth of the seven bots awaiting rescue in this level of Astro Bot.

Puzzle Piece #3

For the last puzzle piece in this level, you must continue until you find two trampoline spiders fighting in a circle. In that area, there will be a bird carrying the missing puzzle piece in its claws.

You must jump off one of the trampoline spiders to reach the missing puzzle piece of this level. This particular area will contain several collectible items, making it crucial to acquire them after obtaining the missing puzzle piece.

Bot #5

To reach a piece of ice and a platform, jump to the right of the trampoline spiders, where you collected the puzzle piece from the bird. In this level, you must lure one of the spiders to jump onto the platform, defeat two enemies, and rescue the fifth bot out of seven.

This level also features a nearby area where the player can access another collectible hidden near the trampoline spiders.

Bot #6 (Gray Fox Bot)

Gray Fox also appears in Astro Bot.

Near the area where the trampoline spiders clash in the giant ice circle, you will find a bot based on one of the most legendary and memorable characters from the Metal Gear Solid series.

You can spot some squirrels staring at the horizon further to the right, where you rescued the previous bot. If you head that way, they will discover a crack they can enter by spinning. Once inside, you must break through a thick layer of ice by hurling trampoline spiders around until the sixth bot—a reference to Gray Fox—becomes visible and becomes rescuable.

Bot #7

The level’s last bot is located near the end, where you’ll see one of the largest trampoline spiders. You’ll need to destroy it by throwing one of the throwable pigs that can break ice at it.

Once the ice breaks from the pig’s impact, the final bot will be visible and easily accessible, completing the level with all seven bots. This section will almost finish Creamy Canyon, but it won’t be the last secret.

Lost Galaxy

To access the secret level of the Lost Galaxy, you must replay the level and go to the area with the ice seal. Upon arrival, you must seize the ice-breaking pig, carefully maneuver it towards the ice seal, and then unleash it to shatter the seal.

Then, using the trampoline spider, you can jump to where the ice seal was and see a small crack in the ground that they can access by spinning. Inside, they’ll discover the first lost galaxy in the game.
