Queensland’s east coast has been heavily battered by rain, as one Gold Coast town recorded a staggering 69mm in just half an hour.
Overnight, the Gold Coast town of Mudgeeraba was hit with 100mm of rainfall in six hours, recording 86mm of rain in an hour and 69mm in 30 minutes.
