Baldur’s Gate 3’s New Dark Urge Evil Ending Gets A Teaser
The next major patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 is approaching, and Larian is continuing to tease some of the new evil-ending cinematics that will be added to the game. The latest sneak preview shows a glimpse at what could happen if you give in to the Dark Urge’s titular desires–beware of spoilers if you’re reading on.
The new teaser posted by Larian Studios shows what could happen to your companions should the player give in to the Urge, accompanied by the caption “Father would be so proud.”

The teaser is otherwise presented without commentary, leaving players to guess what actions could lead to this end, and whether the fate shown for Wyll, Lae’zel, and Shadowheart will befall any companions in your party, even if they’ve been romanced.
Another teaser posted last week showed a different version of an evil ending that is perhaps less gruesome than the Dark Urge one, but still morbid in its own way.
If you decided happily ever after wasn’t for you, there’s an assortment of evil ending cinematics new to Baldur’s Gate 3, arriving with Patch 7.

While many of Larian’s teasers for the new content have focused on the Dark Urge storyline, the initial announcement for Patch 7 promised “several” new evil-ending cinematics, which will add unique cutscenes for regular Tavs, the Dark Urge, and the playable Origin characters who also appear as companions.
Patch 7 will also include a number of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes, and will arrive on an as-yet-unspecified date in September. The patch won’t include some anticipated features such as cross-play and photo mode, though Larian has said that it will likely implement them in future patches.
Baldur’s Gate 3 celebrated its one-year anniversary in August, and though Larian continues to update the game, it’s also said it has no intentions to create major new content for the game, with new areas, new characters, expansions, and sequels all being ruled out.
