Bandi Namco to publish RPG from ex-CDPR staff

Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio founded by The Witcher 3 game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, has inked a deal with Japanese publisher-developer, Bandai Namco. Its debut game, Dawnwalker, sounds to be in the same vein as their previous work at CD Projekt Red.

Reported in a press release (via VGC), the game will be a narrative-driven fantasy action RPG set in medieval Europe. Built using Unreal Engine 5, it sounds like the game will be rated M. As publisher, Bandai Namco will distribute the game both physically and digitally across current-gen platforms and PC.

Chief publishing officer, Tomasz Tinc, sings the praises of the publisher labeling it as “known for its dedication” to the genre.

“Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, a company known for its dedication to the role-playing genre and willingness to engage with new IPs, is a perfect match for our wolfpack. Not only does it share our values, but also its track record in publishing narrative-driven RPGs speaks for itself.”

There’s no word as to when we can get Dawnwalker ourselves, but if we had to guess, it’s still probably a ways away, but we will supposedly get more info by the end of the year.
