Black Ops 6 Has 1 Problem They Refuse to Address

It seems problems regarding Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 aren’t stopping at all. First, the new movement mechanics of the game faced heavy backlash because it was never Call of Duty-ish. After that, the game was heavily criticized for its launch maps. People complained that the maps were the same with a lack of innovation.

Then came the packet loss drama where players were getting high pings on favorable servers despite having strong internet connections. Things were sorting out slowly when again players started ranting about the game for its cartoonish Operator skins. If you think this is the end, then you are absolutely wrong, because another point of criticism is here.

The Oceanian Server is Broken in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Recently, a dedicated Call of Duty fan has vented out his frustration regarding the problematic OCE server of the game through a Reddit post in the r/blackops6 subreddit. He stated that the entire lobby is being kicked and servers are crashing. A match with a ping of 140+ is nearly impossible to join, and when it does, it varies between 4 and 56 every few minutes.

Activision and Treyarch have not acknowledged this problem as of yet. He also stated that this was totally unacceptable from one of the largest multiplayer shooters in the world, even though he recognized that Oceania has a small player base. Particularly when Treyarch boasts on Twitter that this is the biggest COD release ever and releases shark skins with an Australian theme.

He even threatened to lodge a complaint to the Australian Competition Regulator and National Consumer Law Champion against Black Ops 6 which cost him $110. “Spend a few dollars and fix the servers before the ACCC comes after you and you have to pay a massive fine AND pay to fix the servers,” the frustrated fan concluded his post.

There was another Reddit post regarding the same issue where nearly every Australian server match ended with everyone getting disconnected. Later on, the fan stated that Treyarch fixed that issue. But the surprising part is this post was uploaded 2 days ago. Keeping in mind the recent post being just a few hours old, the developers didn’t provide any permanent solution, and the server issue is still there.

How To Check and Fix the Server Issue in Black Ops 6?

Checking server status is made simple by going to the official Activision Support Online Services website, which offers real-time server status updates for all of the franchise’s games, including Black Ops 6. To keep players updated on the game’s current state, the website will show any issues that are reported. There are other websites as well like Downdetector which give a detailed status of the servers of the game. You can check from there as well.

Now coming to fixing the server, there are a number of ways you can do that.

  • See if there have been any updates: Click “Search for Update” after selecting the BO6 app from the menu on your platform. This will guarantee that your game is running the most recent version. Download and install any available updates to avoid any problems that might interfere with gameplay.
  • Restart Black Ops 6: After leaving the game, go back to the main menu on your platform, pick the Call of Duty app, and then start the game again. Any minor issues might be fixed with this easy reset.
  • Verify the connection to your router: Make sure your router is operating correctly. To address any minor disruptions, such as loose cables or unforeseen connectivity issues, try a quick hard reset if the connection seems strange.
  • Check your connection to the network: Players can test their connection and run a network diagnostic on certain platforms, such as consoles. By running this, you may be able to find and fix any internal network problems.

However, if the problem is from Treyarch’s end and if the developers continue being reluctant as described by that fan, then you have no choice but to keep waiting until they wake from their sleep, where they are dreaming about making Black Ops 6, the best Call of Duty title ever.
