Black Ops 6 Has 16 Multiplayer Maps at Launch But Not the One Every Old School Call of Duty Veteran Loves

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is all set to bring back the true Call of Duty experience with its exciting multiplayer and zombies modes. In an official blog post, Activision has revealed 16 different multiplayer maps along with its brand new zombies map called Terminus Island. Indeed, these new maps are exciting but many diehard fans of the franchise were expecting to see one classic map from the Black Ops franchise: Raid.

With Black Ops 6, we get to see the return of the round-based mode on two new maps: Terminus and Liberty Falls. A third map was confirmed during CoD NEXT in August, which is certainly exciting but fans also want to see the return of TranZit from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Players Want Classic Black Ops Maps In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

As of now, Activision has confirmed that 16 unique maps are coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer mode: Babylon, Derelict, Lowtown, Payback, Protocol, Red Card, Rewind, Scud, Skyline, Subsonic, Vault, Vorkuta, Gala, Pit, Stakeout, and Warhead. More maps will certainly be added in the future, but what everyone wants is a classic Black Ops map called Raid.

At the CoD NEXT, Activision revealed Sandhouse, a map that is in the same Nuketown neighborhood. It seems like the map has been renamed to Warhead now but the map isn’t the original Nuketown. Treyarch Studios teased in an X post that a fresh iteration of Nuketown is coming to the game on 11.01.24. We all saw this coming as a Black Ops game is incomplete without a new Nuketown.

But why stop at Nuketown? Activision should certainly consider adding maps like Raid and Hijacked as hardcore fans would love to reminisce about the good old days. These two maps have been featured in various Black Ops games in the past, so there is no harm in creating a fresh version for Black Ops 6.

Fans Would Also Like To See The Return Of TranZit

There is a lot of hype for the zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 so, naturally, Activision had to share some information so fans can prepare for what’s to come. In an official blog post, it has been confirmed that two maps will be available at launch, Terminus and Liberty Falls. The Main Quests in the new zombies mode will be much more challenging than those found in Black Ops Cold War, however, the loadout system shares many features from that game.

Terminus and Liberty Falls isn’t the end as Activision confirmed that a third map will also be added in the future. Activision can bring back the true Black Ops zombies experience by also adding TranZit, a spine-chilling zombies map from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

The addition of these classic maps will definitely convince many Call of Duty veterans to purchase the game. Many fans are convinced that Black Ops 6 will set up a strong comeback for the Call of Duty franchise. Black Ops 6 is scheduled for release on October 25th, 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
