Black Ops 6 has Turned Its Back on 1 Mode We’re Never Likely to See Again, Leaving Some Players Only 1 Option

Black Ops 6 is set to be released later this year and the gaming community is excited to see what the developers have in store. The franchise has been around for the past few years and nurtured generations of competitive players through the various multiplayer modes and single-player campaigns.

Raven Software and Treyarch worked side by side for the past four years and the expectations are high for this year’s entry. The beloved first-person shooter franchise has gone through many creative changes in the past and not all of the ideas were well-received by the masses, however, others feel differently.

The Gaming Community Is Holding out Hope for Black Ops 6 to Feature Classic Game Modes

Activision has worked on the franchise for years and introduced various game modes that would appeal to the gaming community. Unfortunately, not all ideas are great and have overstayed their welcome like round-based zombies and Outbreak. Other fans would argue that these Call of Duty game modes are not meant for them.

Regardless, unpopular game modes like Extraction have established a niche audience that hopes to see the game mode return in this year’s entry. The odds may not be in their favor since neither Treyarch nor Raven Software commented about the game mode.

Perhaps the developers didn’t see the point in bringing back a game mode that did not do well and was not well-received by the gaming community. The developers could have ultimately decided to reallocate their resources elsewhere. Some players are beginning to find other games with a similar tone and vibe if this year’s entry will not feature DMZ.

The gaming community is a tough crowd to please and the developers would rather spend time working on appealing ideas. The developers are doing everything they can to meet the expectations and it is time for the team to crank up their efforts to keep the gaming community interested.

The developers have been cooking up a storm of ambitious items like the Beast Glove in the multiplayer lobbies of Call of Duty. These items can break immersion and ruin the experience for those who grew up with the traditional first-person shooter gameplay and the competitive nature of the franchise was known for. Developers should exert more effort on game modes rather than ridiculous items.

Excluding older game modes opens a short window of opportunity for other game developers. Some fans cited Delta Force, an upcoming first-person shooter game with similar features to the game mode, and will likely flock toward it instead of Black Ops 6.

Perhaps something good will replace these older game modes that would fit this year’s entry. Another developer’s loss is another one’s gain and Delta Force could serve as the best alternative for players seeking a similar experience to DMZ.

Activision could have plans for something better and give the gaming community something new rather than the same game mode with a fresh coat of paint. Fans should make do with what Treyarch and Raven Software have prepared and accept it with an open mind.
