Black Ops 6 is in an Awkward Position, Just Like Cold War was a Few Years Ago

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s release is just around the corner, and there has been a wave of discouraging air surrounding it, similar to when Cold War was released a few years ago.

Black Ops 6 is stuck in the middle of a debate revolving around the best games from the Call of Duty franchise and the Modern Warfare series hitting charts with its audience appeal.

Black Ops 6, Cold War, and Modern Warfare Have Separate Fanbases

Call of Duty is a vast franchise with a lot of games in its arsenal, including the Black Ops series, Modern Warfare series, and more. But it is fair to say not every game shines through a series apart from Modern Warfare, and that is one of the biggest reasons players have huge expectations for the other games.

However, it is an unfair assessment to judge Black Ops 6 based on the likes of Modern Warfare, as the two have vastly different fanbases, and even some of the same fans will be more than excited to play the game.

But there are still some fans who will be disappointed by Activision’s decision to release Black Ops 6 instead of another Modern Warfare, despite the fact that more games could potentially away the novelty.

Many players are currently caught in a conversation where they are unanimously agreeing to the desire to exchange the Modern Warfare games for a discount on Black Ops 6, which is a huge indication that there are people out there excited about its release.

Not everyone can be satisfied at all times and that is alright. There are a lot of people who are currently very excited to play the game.

Fans Hope Black Ops 6 Will Not Fail To Satisfy

Black Ops 6 is scheduled to be released on August 30, 2024, which is just around the corner and the game is already available for pre-order. It will be released across platforms on the same day and will be a sequel to Black Ops 2, following the story of the same protagonist.

The game’s promotional content had players excited in the months following its release and it managed to generate a lot of hype. However awkward the situation might appear for Black Ops 6 at the moment, it is not a metric to predict the future of any game and is a highly unreliable way to categorize a game.

The wave around the title still appears to be very positive, with fans eagerly waiting for its release, and there is no doubt it is going to be one of the highest-selling titles of this year. There are a lot of expectations riding over it and we hope it does not fail to deliver on its promises.
