Black Ops 6 owners get a 30% XP boost in Warzone

Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 owners earn Warzone XP at a faster rate than other players.

An XP boost is advertised in a new Black Ops 6 and Warzone trailer released on Tuesday, which is titled ‘Maximize Your Gameplay’.

“Get a 30% XP boost” during Black Ops 6 seasons of content, reads a message in the trailer, which is viewable at the top of this page. “Level up faster in Warzone.”

As spotted by Charlie Intel, the post-game report screen in Warzone also sometimes advertises a “premium XP boost” for players who purchase Black Ops 6.

Full Black Ops 6 and Warzone integration launched with the release of the Call of Duty Season 1 update last week.

It introduced a new Warzone Resurgence map called Area 99, and returning maps Urzikstan and Rebirth Island, although the latter was pulled on Monday while the game’s developers “investigate map-specific issues”.

A Black Ops 6 update released on Tuesday has added support for legacy XP tokens.

Unlike recent series entries Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6 wasn’t originally due to support XP tokens players had stored from previous games.

However, the Season 1 update introduced a “UI bug [that] allowed players to activate legacy XP tokens in Black Ops 6”, according to developer Treyarch. “Unfortunately, it also introduced some potential risk to game stability”, so the studio patched it out.

The move didn’t go down well with players, and the studio has now added support for legacy XP token functionality once more.
