Black Ops 6 Season 2 launch reveals new maps and Zombies The Tomb gameplay

Activision has released the launch trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2.

Viewable above, it offers the first look at some of Season 2’s new multiplayer maps, and the first gameplay footage of new Zombies map The Tomb.

New multiplayer map Dealership takes place in a car dealership, while Lifeline is set aboard a luxury yacht, Along with Bounty, these maps will be available when Season 2 launches on January 28

Two additional multiplayer maps, Bullet and Grind, will arrive as part of the game’s mid-season Reloaded update. Popular multiplayer mode Gun Game is also returning in Season 2.

Developer Treyarch recently revealed some of what’s in store for Zombies fans in Black Ops 6 Season 2, including a brand new map called The Tomb, which appears in the latest trailer too.

There’ll be less in the way of new content for Warzone, though, as updates previously planned for Season 2 have “been shifted to create bandwidth to address foundational issues” with the game, Activision recently confirmed.

The publisher has also revealed plans to allow Black Ops 6 and Warzone players on consoles to disable cross-play with PC users in Ranked Play.

Activision said it was making the move in response to player feedback and “in the spirit of improving the gameplay experience.” The option to restrict Ranked Play to console players only is currently in testing and will be made available during Season 2.
