Bloom and Rage Was Shown At Gamescom 2024 and Looks Like the Ideal Game For Life Is Strange Fans
A brand-new trailer for the upcoming Don’t Nod title, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage just dropped at Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live, and it’s one that no Life is Strange fan would want to miss out on.
The trailer gives us a look into the lives of four high school girls in the 90’s who seemingly have everything going for them as their friendship slowly blooms. However, not everything is what it seems.
Don’t Be Fooled by Lost Records: Bloom and Rage’s Wholesome Looks
When news first emerged that the studio behind Life is Strange was releasing a new game unconnected to the franchise, it was nothing but excitement for fans.
Over the years, the studio has gained the trust of many in consistently delivering titles that will evoke every kind of emotion listed in a dictionary, and the trailer for its upcoming release doesn’t indicate any difference. According to the synopsis:
Rewind back to the 90s and live the defining summer of four high school girls as they forge bonds through their growing friendship, their punk band, and an unexplained event that will forever change their lives.
The trailer opens with a heartwarming glimpse into the lives of four girls enjoying their summer days together. Everything seems perfect—almost too perfect, and if you sensed something’s amiss, you’re absolutely right.
Toward the end of the trailer, the entire vibe changes. Something terrible has happened to completely change the lives of these kids, and it looks like it’s an event they can’t just come back from. It’s haunting them, and it’s up to you to confront these dark secrets.
Bloom and Rage Takes Cues From Its Predecessor
To find out more about the mystery of what’s going on, we’ll have to wait for the game’s release. Unfortunately, no release date has been announced, but it’s reportedly being dropped in the first half of 2025.
Some parts of the gameplay can be spotted in the trailer. Like Life is Strange and Don’t Nod’s other games, the story seems to unfold based on how you play it.
You’ll play as Swann, one of the four friends. The dialogue you pick or the interactions you have will heavily influence what happens. The game seems to go all-in with the immersion this time around, visually and dialogue-wise.
A shot in the trailer shows Swann viewing her friends through her camcorder, which is an exciting feature in the game. Pick it up and record the world around you as you explore new places and interact with people.
Are you excited for this title? What do you think is the horrid event that seems to affect these four girls? Drop your guesses in the comments below!
