Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The gaming community has been accustomed to online multiplayer; however, Raven Software and Treyarch wanted to run it back through local co-op, and many are wondering how to play Zombies Split Screen. There is nothing better than playing with friends from miles away, but there is also a method to game with them on the same console while sitting on the same couch.

Local co-op has forged friendships and became the go-to method in the early days, and it is great to have that option nowadays. The option to play locally is a blessing in modern times for competitive games.

How to Play Zombies Split Screen?

There is no better way to play than with friends.

The game developers of this year’s Call of Duty decided to bring back a fan-favorite feature to play together with friends on the same console. It beats playing online and being entangled with the wrong folk who intend to spew toxicity and other forms of online abuse like cheating and hacking.

Tip

The Split Screen feature is only available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S version of Black Ops 6.

To start the split screen feature, secondary players must grab and turn on a spare DualSense for the PlayStation 5 or Xbox controller for the current Xbox lineups and then select or create a second profile. They will be prompted to sign into their Activision account, and no one will be the wiser.

It is worth noting that local co-op is only available for zombies and multiplayer, leaving the single-player campaign out once again, which makes sense. Players will have to solve the safehouse puzzles, like locating the source of the radio signal by their lonesome. Raven Software and Treyarch wanted the gaming community to have the best local co-op experience, which ultimately made them decide to remove this feature for previous generation versions and on PC.

Most players would prefer to play with people they know best rather than being thrown into a lobby full of random players without knowing how they think or act. Being paired with a group of people that does not play well with others is a mistake and could potentially ruin everyone else’s experience.

Black Ops 6 Zombies on Split Screen Is the Way to Go

New memories will be forged through blasting zombies on the same TV or monitor.

The gaming community has waited long enough for a great Call of Duty game, and the combined efforts of Treyarch and Raven Software have scratched that itch. Split screen is quite convenient for players with friends who paid a house call and want to spend some time killing Black Ops 6 zombies, and instead of carrying around their consoles, they might as well play on the same one.

While there are some trade-offs, like having to share half the screen with a friend, there is no better way to play with a mate in the same room than where they can scream at each other and cheer together for accomplishing great feats. This method has been used in the past few years, and no one batted an eye then; no one should now.

It is best to have the necessary details, such as usernames and passwords, to sign into an Activision account prepared before heading to a different house and using a new console for a smoother experience. Players can head either into Multiplayer or Zombies to get started.

Unlike older Call of Duty games that can host 4 players total, the developers decided to trim it by half, and there is no way to increase it. While it is a shame to leave other friends for one session, it is better than nothing, and the high demand could encourage the developers to make some changes in future installments.
