Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Fighting zombies is already stressful; however, it seems like Treyarch and Raven Software thought it wasn’t challenging enough and trusted the players to figure out how to beat Armored Zombies by themselves. Fortunately, this zombie variant is no different from regular zombies and can be easily defeated.
The undead are lifeless husks exhibiting no signs of the person they used to be as they follow players intending to devour them whole. The best way to handle a horde of zombies is to shoot them without hesitation but the extra armor plating makes it a nuisance and a bit of a head-scratcher.
How to Beat Armored Zombies?
Unlike other depictions of the undead from various platforms, the zombies in Call of Duty have enhanced speed and are quite aggressive. Treyarch and Raven Software threw the kitchen sink of zombie variants from weaker enemies that can be killed with a few shots, to elites like the Amalgam and the Abomination, to mid-ranged threats with extra armor plates to protect them.
Fortunately, armored zombies are not invincible, even with the armor strapped on. Players must be frugal with their ammunition and aim at exposed areas to deal damage. Alternatively, players can always take the headshot to unleash hell on their helmets with bullets and secure a clean kill from a safe distance.
Tip
Players can round up the loose armor plates that can be equipped for themselves after wiping out a horde of armored zombies.
The undead still carry the same basic weakness: the head. Players can go for body shots, wait for their targets to go down, or focus their firepower on the head for critical hits and destroy whatever is in their way with haste.
Another method is to upgrade weapons through Pack-a-Punch. This upgrade system encourages players to take better care of their gear and equipment to keep up with the increasing difficulty throughout a match in a zombie game mode. Players can find one inside a small church in Liberty Falls.
Where to Find Armored Zombies in Black Ops 6?
The short answer to where players can find Armored Zombies is everywhere. These variants can be seen around every map in the zombie game mode during round 11 and players can expect that everything will only get harder from there. Players shouldn’t underestimate this enemy and take them down before they can close the gap.
While armored zombies are not as challenging as the elites like the Amalgam and Abomination, they can still cause trouble and overwhelm players with their extra layers of protection. If players find themselves short on armor plates, they can grab one off one of the undead and use it to their advantage.
Not everything about the armored zombies is plated with armor, which is good news for those with happy trigger fingers to go for body shots. Exposed areas can make it easier to deal damage, and there is no beating headshots.
Some armored zombies have the generic helmet covering their heads but with an upgraded weapon from a Pack-a-Punch and steady aim, this helmet will only delay the inevitable. Headshots are effective and efficient in this scenario.
