Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies
For Black Ops veterans, nothing says “classic Zombies experience” quite like wielding the Ray Gun. If you’re looking for how to get the Ray Gun in Liberty Falls or Terminus, this Black Ops 6 guide has you covered.
We’ll go over the methods to obtain it across these two key locations. Unlocking loot chests, defeating Elite zombies, or trying your luck with the Mystery Box? We’ve got you covered on every front.
How to Get the Black Ops 6 Zombies Ray Gun in Terminus
Just note that it’s not a guaranteed drop anywhere, so these methods will require a lot of patience and perseverance. You might want to check out our guide on getting set up for Black Ops 6 before hopping in.
The Ray Gun is a legendary weapon that can be unlocked using several methods. The methods are mostly similar with slight changes between Liberty Falls and Terminus. In Terminus, there are four main ways to go about finding it, each with its own challenges.
First up is exploring the small islands around the Terminus map. These islands are marked by loot boxes in shallow water, which glow with a light visible through the water.
Swim to each location, open these loot boxes, and you may just get lucky with a high-level item, including a Ray Gun. The higher the round you’re on, the better the loot becomes.
Another option is to hunt down Elite zombies. Upon defeat, these zombies drop a loot key, which you can use to access the Armory. Legendary (orange) keys have the highest odds of containing a Ray Gun.
Just head to the Control Center from the spawn point and enter the Armory. Here, you’ll find safes that you can open using the keys you picked up for high-tier rewards.
Tip
Focus on hunting Elite zombies during later rounds. They have a higher drop rate for Legendary Keys as the difficulty increases.
For an added chance at a Ray Gun, take on S.A.M Trials, which randomly appear during your gameplay. Head toward the purple beam of light when notified, then complete the assigned task.
The more successful your trial, the higher the reward level, with Legendary boxes often containing Ray Guns.
Finally, there’s the Black Ops 6 Mystery Box: spend 950 essence for a chance at getting a Ray Gun.
How to Get the COD Ray Gun in Liberty Falls
In Liberty Falls, obtaining the Ray Gun works similarly to Terminus but with a few twists. You’ll still want to hunt down Elite enemies on higher rounds to obtain keys. However, instead of using them at the Armory, you’ll be looking for the bank vault, a unique safehouse area in Liberty Falls.
To unlock the bank vault, gather three different codes. The first code is on a yellow sticky note at a desk in the bank itself.
The second is hidden in the bowling alley—just knock over a bottle of champagne on a desk to find it. The last code is in Olly’s Comics, located under a desk where you’ll have to crouch to retrieve it.
Enter all three codes at the vault, and if you’ve got a Legendary key from an Elite zombie, you can open one of the deposit boxes to claim your rewards.
As with Terminus, completing S.A.M Trials on Liberty Falls is another way to potentially score a Ray Gun. Like all RNG-based rewards, the drop rates fluctuate, so even with the Legendary key, luck plays a big role.
The Mystery Box is also available in Liberty Falls, making it another good option if you’ve got points to spare.
As you can see, hunting down the Ray Gun in COD Zombies requires a lot of patience and luck. Try not to get too frustrated if you’re not able to score one early on; RNG dictates that you’ll have to get it eventually.
