CHP seeks public’s help in identifying Northern California hit-and-run suspect

(FOX40.COM) — The California Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for a hit-and-run in Northern California on Sunday.

At 4:15 a.m., two cyclists were hit by a silver Nissan sedan, possible license plate of BE81G30, along Industrial Avenue just north of Sunset Avenue in unincorporated Placer County, according to CHP Auburn.

The cyclists were on the right-hand shoulder of the roadway when for an unknown reason the Nissan drifted out of their lane and struck one of the cyclists.

The driver then sped off, leaving the injured female cyclist on the roadside. She was later transported to an area hospital.
