Church fire under investigation in Montgomery County
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Officials are investigating a fire that broke out at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Montgomery County early Friday morning.
In a post on X, Pete Piringer with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said about 75 firefighters responded to an automatic alarm around 1:45 a.m. at the church located at 16235 New Hampshire Avenue.
At least eight vehicles collided on I-495, leading to fuel spill in Montgomery County
Once at the scene, firefighters encountered smoke and high heat conditions.

Crews vented the blaze through the roof and the fire was extinguished.
As a result, officials said the church had major damage.
There were no reported injuries.
