Context Around the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Delay

I said this previously, but it would have been nice if Ubishit learned how to delay their games in the past, instead of rushing them out at any cost for Black Friday sales. They burned too many customers over the years, assuming that many of them would just accept their fake apologies and keep buying their slop.

AC: Unity needed 6 more months of polish, as a reminder, the game was so rushed, that they also desperately rushed out the patches to fix the game, and in doing so, the patches were also bugged, which meant that they had to release more patches to fix the newly added bugs in the previous patches. As an apology they offered the story DLC for free, which is nice, but bribery is not how to solve the actual problem with your games.

I know that AC: Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla all had numerous bug fixes released post launch as well. Not to mention the disaster that was Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

As for Splinter Cell, hoo boy, this one could very easily end up as a disaster if they “Ubify it”. EXP, skill points, massive skill tree to grind out for hours, constant weapon & armor upgrades, enemy level gating, what a mess and a slap to the face to long time SC fans that’ll end up being.

What this remake needs is to fix the flaws of the original release, make it better than ever, and also allow options for no kill and no knock out playthroughs as well. I want to be an actual ‘ghost’ moving through the levels, where I attack no one, and no one knows I was even there as I complete my objectives.
