Death Stranding’s Gameplay Seen as Prophecy After Scientists Uncover Third State of Life After Death

Death Stranding might be one of the best games that famous Japanese video game designer Hideo Kojima has ever made. This game portrays the post-apocalyptic state of the USA, where a cataclysmic event caused destructive creatures to begin exploiting the Earth.

The main protagonist of the game is Sam Porter Bridges, who is played by famous American actor Norman Reedus. Besides his job of delivering cargo to various KNOTS, there is a special ability of his, which right now feels true after a recent scientific invention.

Did Death Stranding Portray the Future?

In recent scientific research, it has been discovered that beyond the boundaries and rules of life and death, there is something more. According to the researchers, there are specific cells in an organism’s body that actually continue to live and grow even after that particular organism is dead, if they are provided with an appropriate amount of nutrients, oxygen, bioelectricity, or biochemical cues.

Not only that, these new cells can even develop new functions and make new multicellular organisms with serious adaptability in new environments. These organisms are termed Xenobots. These biobots are also able to perform kinematic self-repair.

Now, coming to Death Stranding, the main protagonist, Sam, is also able to do stuff like this. In the game, he is a “repatriate.” That means he cannot die permanently. His “ka” (soul) always returns to his “ha” (body) from the Seam. This is an underwater world where he is taken if he kills, where he can again “swim” back to his body to revive himself.

It’s still unknown if there is anyone whom he shares this unique ability with. That’s why Sam is considered the initiator who can make the death stranded. There are also some handprints arrayed across Sam’s body, and these prints are the measurements of the number of times he has repatriated. Along with Sam’s brilliance, we might see a new character in Death Stranding 2.

Other Abilities of Sam Porter Bridge

Not only reviving himself, Sam has other unique abilities as well, which makes him the best porter alive. He is so strong that he can deliver cargo weighing 120 kg with ease, that too without the help of an exoskeleton. Not only that, he pulls off this stunt in a pretty short amount of time, and the cargo is always in mint condition.

Sam is also skilled when it comes to hand-to-hand and armed combat. We have already seen in the game that he can sweep off MULE. He also gave a tough fight to Higgs and Cliff. Both of these evil entities have powerful abilities like teleporting and summoning BTs.

After the astonishing discovery of Xenobots, many fans have claimed the world of Death Stranding to be real, and we are just a few years away from discovering that fantasy world in real life. And as usual, the credit goes to none other than Hideo Kojima. It’s Kojima’s world, and we are just living in it.

What’s your opinion on this discovery and its uncanny similarity with Death Stranding‘s Sam? Let us know your views in the comment section.
