E-Day Mechanics We’d Like to See Included

With the announcement of the return to the origins of this franchise thanks to the imminent release of Gears of War: E-Day, Xbox has a unique opportunity to re-engage all types of fans of this IP. On platforms like Reddit, many of the series’ most devoted fans have already begun suggesting various changes and mechanics for inclusion.

Despite being two very solid games, Microsoft acknowledges that the previous games’ reception was not as positive as it could have been. This prequel has a unique opportunity to implement everything that works in these titles and add new things that the community will enjoy. Therefore, we are going to discuss five key mechanics that these games should definitely incorporate.

5. No Mandatory Online Connection

Many modern games necessitate constant connectivity due to their online mechanics. This is why Gears of War: E-Day should only require an online connection when using the online mode; otherwise, it should allow the player to access the title without problems.

A single button should activate this, simplifying the process for players wishing to try the online mode. Players do not want the constant online connection.

4. Fully Customizable Horde Mode

Horde Mode is something that emerged from the second title of this franchise and has grown a bit more with each new game. This prequel should allow you to customize this experience in the most detailed way possible.

The player should be able to choose if they want to face bosses if they want certain weapons, and other details to make their gaming experience entirely unique.

3. Bots in All Modes

One thing that should always be available in a game where a potential cooperative mode is a plus is that players can add bots at any time. As a result, the studio should consider that all matches can be filled with bots, such as Horde Mode and even Story Mode.

Many fans prefer more solitary experiences to enjoy the game without needing other people. Bots should be almost a must-have in every game.

2. Beast Mode

This mode is quite original and allows players to test the power of all the creatures that belong to the Locust. This mode’s idea is to achieve as much destruction as possible against COGs.

There is a ton of potential in this mode that offered a completely different perspective on the game at the time, allowing the player to experience what it felt like to be part of the powerful Locust army. Note that adapting these characters’ models for free use is quite challenging.

1. More Gore, More Horror

The community, in general, wants this game to return to the origins of the franchise, offering the best horror and gore possible in the story. Although the studio has hinted that this will be the main focus of the story, fans want to make these giant creatures that want to destroy everything as terrifying as possible.

This is a new opportunity for Gears of War: E-Day to reach the top and become one of the most-sold games on this platform.
