EA Sports Took Years to Build UFC 5 Only to Disappoint Fans, What Really Went Wrong?
The wave of disappointment follows UFC 5 everywhere. The game is being heavily criticized for being a spin-off of its predecessors with nothing new to offer.
EA seems to have been consistently disappointing fans with its recent release. The studio has been facing criticism for not offering anything fresh for a high price game.
UFC 5 Consistently Disappoints Fans With Its Performance
UFC 5 has nothing new to offer. The game went through years of development and still did not manage to add fresh things to it. Fans are annoyed at this a lot at the moment. EA Sports failed to deliver a good game even after taking so long to finish it.
Was the long development time just a marketing strategy? The amount of work put into the game seems minimal since it just looks like a remastered version of UFC 4. Everything seems to be exactly the same, from characters to career mode and animations. There is nothing new being added to the game.
Many players expressed their frustration concerning the recent game via Reddit. They talked about how the game has failed to even come close to the hype it had generated in the months following release.

Fans are utterly disappointed with the game’s performance and are demanding answers from EA. The beta version was released 3 years prior to release, and yet it did not improve much on it.
EA Sports Has Found Its Way To The Centre of Criticism
EA Sports seems to have drifted down a dark road. The studio has failed to improve on much of its sports games. Each game looks identical to the previous titles with very little change. The same goes for UFC 5, which too just looks like a remastered version of its predecessor.
There seems to be very little innovation happening in these games. The games seem to have reached the end of the road, and the path ahead looks uncertain. EA Sports needs to make amends if it wants to get into the good books again.
It is still not too late to fix some things in UFC 5, and this just might be the start of a new chapter for the studio. Public opinion, especially those of its players, should be heard to maintain a healthy relationship; however, nothing of the sorts seems to be happening at the moment, but there is still a slim chance that we see some sort of dialogue exchange in the future.
