Elden Ring Boss Works So Well in Sekiro You’d Believe She Wasn’t Originally Meant for The Lands Between

Often called the toughest boss in Elden Ring, every single player has suffered against Malenia and her infamous waterfowl dance at least a few times in their playthrough. However, who would have thought that the Goddess of Scarlet Rot would fit perfectly in another game made by the same studio and director?

Placed in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice with the help of a mod, the empyrean has seemingly found a new home for herself, and it fits so well that it looks like she was designed to be present here from the very beginning.

Malenia in Another FromSoft Title – This New Mod Has Given the Hardest Elden Ring Boss a New Home

Known for her perfection with a blade and a perfect winning record against her opponents, Melania is essentially the kryptonite of every tarnished who dares to challenge her. And she is now back to haunt gamers again as a new mod places her in the setting of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

It is easy to say that the twin sister of Miquella the Kind has a certain aura around her that cannot be matched, even when placed in an arena other than the original one besides the Haligtree.

It is amazing how the placement of Malenia in another game still feels natural, which might indicate that FromSoftware originally intended for her to end up in the 2019 title instead, a theory that might be a little far-fetched, but not impossible.

The Lack of a Malenia Questline is Absurd

The recent release of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for the game had fans hoping that the new expansion would give players a little more background, and even possibly a questline about the twin sister of the very empyrean’s footsteps the player is supposed to follow.

Unfortunately, except for a mention of her name in the Young Lion’s armor set, there is not one instance where she is brought up in the lore curated for the Realm of Shadow, making players wonder if the fight against her in the Haligtree is the last we get to see of her.

It is ultimately through the Questline of Millicent in the main game that we get to know a little of Malenia and her curse of Scarlet Rot. And there is no doubt that she will remain one of the toughest bosses to beat even after the introduction of new enemies in the DLC.

Were you looking forward to a dedicated questline in the recent DLC as well? Make sure to let us know about it in the comments below!
