Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Boss Order

You’ll note the overall atmosphere as you first step into the lands of shadow in Shadow of the Erdtree. It’s gorgeous and gloomy. But more importantly, you’ll note in the distance a walking behemoth, and before long, you’ll ambushed by swirling ninja-like enemies from above. It’s chaotic and frantic, and downright entertaining. But the chaos only ramps up as you start tackling the expansion’s bosses. Here is the comprehensive Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree boss order!

In total, Shadow of the Erdtree features a staggering 77 bosses, most of which are optional challenges along your path to the top. But there are a handful you cannot skip to beat the DLC, and they include:

  1. Divine Beast Dancing Lion
  2. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight
  3. Putrescent Knight
  4. Messmer the Impaler
  5. Commander Gaius
  6. Scadutree Avatar
  7. Metyr, Mother of Fingers
  8. Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame
  9. Romina, Saint of the Bud
  10. Promised Consort Radahn

The most challenging boss in the entire expansion is, of course, Promised Consort Radahn. He’s the DLC’s final boss, one you’ve previously faced in the main game, which means players will likely underestimate his strength. Don’t! He’ll stomp through you with reckless abandon in mere minutes, so take the fight seriously!

The expansion’s first boss, Divine Beast Dancing Lion, featuring the best name in Elden Ring lore, proves itself as one of the most capable entry points to the new content. It’s a challenging creature, utilizing elemental attacks to deal standard and lightning damage.

Here are a few tips to help you beat Divine Beast Dancing Lion:

  • When the boss rears up on two legs, smacking its lips together in anticipation, it’s preparing a grab attack that deals significant physical damage. Do not get caught in the grapple; otherwise, you risk a quick conclusion to the battle.
  • As its lightning attacks strike the ground, dodge-roll away from the point of impact to avoid taking significant elemental damage.
  • You can parry Divine Beast Dancing Lion!

How are you enjoying Shadow of the Erdtree? It’s far more difficult than the main game, right? When you take a break, don’t forget to sign up for the Insider Gaming Newsletter!
