Employee at Wisconsin car wash has medical emergency under vehicle, EMS responds within 1 minute

COMBINED LOCKS, Wis. (WFRV) – The Combined Locks Fire & Rescue recently responded to an incident at Clearwater Car Wash in the Town of Buchanan, where an employee suffered a medical emergency under a vehicle.

According to a Facebook post from Combined Locks Public Safety, a coworker quickly called 911 for help. Dispatched determined the patient was pulseless and not breathing, prompting an immediate response from EMS teams from Combined Locks, Buchanan, and Kimberly.

EMS personnel reportedly arrived within one minute, having just cleared another call nearby, and found the male employee under a vehicle in the oil change pit. The post notes that the patient was not trapped or inaccessible, just in a tight space within a basement-type setting.

EMS began resuscitation efforts immediately, including the use of a defibrillator. Fire engines were requested to help lift the patient from the tight space.

The patient was successfully moved to the ambulance and transported to a local hospital. No further information has been provided.
