Fallout 4 Player Completes the Entire Game in a Way Thought Impossible
First debuting way back in 2015, Fallout 4 has been regarded as one of the most legendary entries in the franchise. The game takes players to the year 2287, where they must find their missing child after waking up inside a vault. It’s simple in roleplaying mechanics but brings an incredible depth of storytelling and content offering.
It’s been eight years since the release of the title, and over that period, we’ve seen many players completing Fallout 4 with various strategies and tactics. However, one player has finished the entire game in a way that should be outright impossible.
Fallout 4 Player Beats the Game In a Surprising Way
Over on Fallout 4‘s official subreddit, user TheJFG posted that they’ve completed the game. However, what’s surprising is the fact that they were able to complete it by unlocking just 83/84 achievements.
The final achievement they still haven’t unlocked is literally the first one any player would unlock within 30 minutes of diving into the game, and that’s “War Never Changes.”

If you’re unfamiliar with the War Never Changes achievement, you can unlock it by entering The Wasteland. After beginning the game, all you need to do is exit Vault 111, the very same Vault where our protagonists find themselves in the game’s opening segment.
So, how on earth was the Redditor able to complete the entire game without unlocking its first achievement? Well, it’s a Bethesda game, and bugs are a core part of the experience.
Obviously, the payer did venture outside Vault 111; they wouldn’t have been able to unlock the other achievements if they hadn’t done that. However, it looks like the user completed the entire game in just a single playthrough.
This somehow led to the first achievement being bugged and never unlocking because of the Quick Resume feature.
Let’s Hope Fallout 5 Isn’t a Buggy Mess
Although Bethesda hasn’t quite revealed Fallout 5, we do know that the studio is working on it in some fashion, and it’s destined to be the follow-up to the studio’s upcoming Elder Scrolls 6.
The Fallout franchise is arguably the face of the RPG genre, with the 3rd and 4th entries offering a memorable experience. However, since Bethesda has a habit of going big in its design scopes, there are often rough edges around the seams.
While Todd Howard and his team try to patch these out quickly, a few of them never end up leaving and become part of the experience itself, which is mind-boggling.
Many in the community outright blame Bethesda’s cranky old Creation Engine for these problems. In the end, it’s the modders who fix the game’s wacky AI, code, and bizarre animations.
If Bethesda doesn’t want the next entry in the post-apocalyptic franchise to be a failure, it’s crucial that the studo take note of these problems and give the game enough development time to sort out issues.
