Fans are Finally Talking About Stellar Blade’s Best Bit, And There’s No Censorship or Controversy Here

Stellar Blade has been mired with unwarranted controversy ever since its advent. From a section of fans going gaga over the game to another section demanding the game be censored, there has been a lot of excitement and frenzy since it was released on 26th April 2024. But amidst all the chaos, the most attractive bit about the game went totally under the radar as fans kept arguing on community forums regarding the censorship issue, unreal beauty standards, and whatnot.

However, finally, fans are starting to give the game the credit its due. Packing some phenomenal combat mechanics, the game is mesmerizing the fans who have sidestepped the controversies and dived straight into the game itself.

After much debate around the censorship of Stellar Blade regarding Eve’s appearance, fans finally have some ground to agree on. The game’s combat mechanics, which have largely flown under the radar are now being showcased by streamers and players online and they are impressed.

The smooth parry and dodge mechanics of the game gather massive praise from fans as they finally begin to see what the hype behind the game is all about. With much of the attention initially being redirected to baseless controversies, the game didn’t get the plaudits it deserved initially.

This player took to X to showcase the insane dodge and parry mechanics of the game. But what makes the fighting even more realistic is the chip damage that players take when they block attacks, especially when the shield is in a depleted state. Moreover, the importance of parrying attacks makes the combat even more realistic.

The combat mechanics of Stellar Blade are being compared to Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Sekiro and the Devil May Cry franchise, both of which have a stellar reputation for combat mechanics.

Casting aside all doubts, Stellar Blade is performing exceedingly well as it keeps swiveling between 9.0 and 9.2 on Metacritic, joining the likes of The Last of Us and GTA V. The developers Shift Up have shown how to give fans a memorable gaming experience, quite unlike the big-budget titles like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Skull and Bones.

With more players buying the game, the game is expected to do well financially too. Hyung-Tae Kim’s game was already a massive hit with the demo version gaining a peak player count of 690,000. Now, it remains to be seen how the actual game does but if estimates are anything to go by, the player count is likely to cross the million-player mark.

The game is not yet available for PC and is a PlayStation exclusive. So, PlayStation fans have yet another stupendous game on their hands to dangle in front of Xbox fans in the long ongoing ‘console wars’.
