Fans Call DBZ the Reason Why Tekken 8 Devs Give Out 500 Coins After the Widely Hated DLC

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero seems to have taken the place of Tekken. The newly released game is the reason why Tekken has been overshadowed and its mistakes have been highlighted.

Tekken recently released a DLC expansion, which failed miserably. The DLC’s release timing was also not beneficial to the game since it clashed with Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s release. Tekken’s developer is currently handing out 500 coins for free to make up for the DLC’s failure.

The gameplay mechanics of both games are quite similar. Although both the games belong to completely different universes and are different in nature, both games include fighting mechanics that appear to be similar. Both games enable players to perfect various combos comprising a mix of parry and magic attacks.

However, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s gameplay mechanics seem to be way more complex than that of Tekken. Tekken is a rather straightforward game with no huge learning curve, whereas the former is known for being way more immersive and intricately designed.

Having said that, it is also fair to mention that Tekken is by no means a bad game. It is one of the oldest ongoing game franchises that has enriched the childhood of many. Tekken 8 was an amazing entry into the 30-year-old franchise.

The game faced a lot of backlash since its Year 1 Pass did not include the recently released Genmaji Temple stage DLC. This infuriated a lot of fans, which resulted in massive review bombings on Steam.

Following the backlash, the developer has now promised to offer 500 coins to all online Tekken 8 players, which is the cost of Genmaji Temple. To get this benefit out of the game, players can log in to the game anytime from October 29 to November 26.

Tekken 8 developer released a public apology which was addressed towards the entire community of the game. It stated that the team realizes their mistakes and will do things differently from now on via Twitter.

We apologize for not meeting the community’s expectations for the ‘Playable Character Year 1 Pass’ content and the ‘Genmaji Temple’ DLC release method.

There is still time in hand to save the game from getting more negative reviews, and the developer seems to have been handling the aftermath of the disaster in a good way.

The developer has claimed to offer a lot of things to its players in the future, and we should wait and see how things pan out. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
