Five Nights At Freddy’s 4K Blu-Ray Steelbook Edition Up For Preorder At Amazon
Five Nights at Freddy’s was one of 2023’s biggest films, and in case you missed its first Blu-ray release, you can score a pretty cool steelbook version of the film from Walmart and Amazon. This originally went up for preorder as a Walmart exclusive in August, but apparently that was incorrect, because now Amazon is taking preorders, too. While it is late to the party, this 4K edition of the film comes in a pretty cool steelbook case, perfect for any cinephiles looking to add another special edition of a movie to their personal collection.

$29 at Walmart | $34 at Amazon (was $40)
Both retailers are offering discounts on the new steelbook edition ahead of its October 8 release. Preorders at Walmart are $29.36, while Amazon preorders are $34 at the moment. These prices are likely to level out, as Amazon typically drops the price of Blu-rays to match Walmart. You won’t be charged until your preorder ships, and you’ll get the lowest price offered at Amazon from the time you order until release.
This edition of Five Nights at Freddy’s comes with 4K Blu-ray, 1080p standard Blu-ray, and digital copies of the movie.
Five Nights at Freddy’s film proved to be a huge success with kids when it landed in cinemas last year (it’s rated PG-13). An adaptation of the beloved video game and comic book franchise, the film focuses on a security guard working the night-shift in a a decrepit Chuck E Cheese knock-off and has to survive a night of terror when ghost-children possess giant robots. It’s weird, but effective, horror thanks to all the talent involved in this production.
“When the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is able to just be that–and it is most of the time–it’s a lot of fun,” Phil Owens wrote in GameSpot’s Five Nights at Freddy’s review. “Creepy and weird animatronic nonsense is a really funny part of our culture and is an excellent idea for a movie. But it can’t manage to just be that, because the franchise has grown a ton since this project first began.”
After Five Nights at Freddy’s broke box office records and became Blumhouse’s highest-grossing movie of all time–it earned more than $291 million globally–a sequel was quickly greenlit and is scheduled to arrive in Fall 2025. If you don’t feel like waiting until October for Walmart’s fancy edition of the movie, you can pick up the Five Nights at Freddy’s: Night Shift Edition for $17 at Amazon. This includes the 4K cut of the film, a digital streaming code, and plenty of behind-the-scenes content to watch.
The new edition of film comes on the heels of Mega Cat Studios’ pixelated horror-adventure, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit. The retro-style side-scroller has been well-received by ways, as it currently holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” user review average on Steam.
