Fortnite Reportedly Returns to Chapter 2 in Upcoming Fortnite OG 2, and the Release Date is Close

When it comes to Fortnite, nothing can unify the fans as much as an OG season can. Fortnite OG, introduced last year, brings back an earlier season of the game. This allows veteran players to relive the nostalgia and gives newcomers a chance to experience content they missed before.

Since its conclusion last year, fans have been eagerly demanding the return of Fortnite OG, and it seems we finally have a date for it. Apparently, the second installment of the OG season is going to drop in November this year.

There is no doubt that Fortnite OG 2 will be a grand event that every player will get behind. The first installment was a hit among fans, and the same can be expected for the next one. Furthermore, OG 2 is going to bring back Chapter 2, which is one of the most loved chapters in the game’s history.

According to Twitter user @ShiinaBR, the Fortnite OG 2 release date is November 2. Interestingly, a Snoop Dogg collab may also make its way to the game during that period. However, it’s worth pointing out that Epic Games is yet to confirm this officially.

Unsurprisingly, fans are quite excited about the return of the OG season, with some labeling the POI in it the best ever.

It doesn’t get more OG than a collaboration with Snoop Dogg. We will likely get the artist’s skin along with some cosmetics. The release date isn’t far away, so the ongoing season will likely end around November 2, kickstarting OG 2.

A Big Change Is Coming to the Battle Pass

Until now, Battle Passes in the game were exclusive, meaning that rewards, such as cosmetics, could only be earned during the active season. Once the season ended, these rewards became unavailable to players. However, this is changing with Chapter 5, Season 4, as Battle Passes are no longer exclusive.

This is a big change from Epic Games, considering grinding rewards was something that players had to do in order to earn rewards. The exclusivity of the rewards made them special, which will no longer be the case.

Moving forward, the rewards on the Battle Pass will eventually come to the in-game shop after a while. Here, players would be able to buy them individually using V-Bucks.

It’s worth pointing out that rewards, when available at the shop, will cost more compared to when they will be available on the battle pass. It’s also unclear whether battle pass rewards prior to Chapter 5 Season 4 will come to the shop or not.
