Frankly, I’ve Had Enough of Support Heroes in Marvel Rivals Flaunting Their Healing Stats To Claim We’re the Problem

A losing streak in any shooter game stinks, and the same is the case with Marvel Rivals, a title that has a growing number of players who somehow always find an excuse to blame their teammates in the face of defeat, with their contribution just being a ton of healing stats.

Hopping into a competitive game, you would probably see a growing trend where support players often use their large number of healing done to their teammates as an excuse to berate other players and blame them for not winning the round: something that has got to stop.

A variety in team formation always goes a long way, with tank, damage, and support players all playing their roles and giving their best to bring the victory home.

However, as mentioned before, some support gamers would rather just sit back and heal like a bot, stacking up heal points and ignoring whatever action the situation calls for at the time, which could range from anything like focusing on the objective area to finishing off a low-hp opponent themselves.

That is, unfortunately, not what these players go for, as they would rather just let other players do all the heavy lifting on the frontline as they just sit on the sidelines and look for an opportunity to throw in a few heal points now and then.

The cold, hard truth: your heal points don’t matter in Marvel Rivals

While it stays true that healing characters play their special part in every team, the responsibilities of a support agent come with more than just making sure your teammate’s HP bar is always topped off.

Given the nature of how Marvel Rivals is crafted, every single character comes with their own unique set of abilities. While most support agents are equipped with a few quirks of their own, they also often come with aggressive abilities that can help their side win the round for once.

This also goes true for every other role in the game as well. Tank players and damage players need to understand how remaining in sync remains essential to winning any game they take part in. Especially for the latter, as they often are required to rush in and make space for their tanks and support agents on the map.

Remember, using your damage stats as an excuse to bite your teammates’ heads off is as bad as using the amount of healing done as an excuse to contribute nothing else to the game. Marvel Rivals calls for a symphony of teamwork, and if you can’t give that, you can forget about winning.
