FromSoft boss “isn’t opposed” to Bloodborne on PC

Bloodborne fans have been pleading with FromSoftware and Sony to re-release the beloved 2015 entry to the Soulsborne line of games. Apparently, FromSoft boss Hidetaka Miyazaki is — kinda — right there with the fans, calling on a PC port to be made. Producer Yasuhiro Kitao also seems to want a PC version, too.

During an interview with PC Gamer, Miyazaki addresses the pleas, noting that he wants more people to enjoy the game and isn’t opposed to a PC version, but stops short of really saying that he wants a remake or remaster, seemingly worried he’d get in trouble.

“Obviously, as one of the creators of Bloodborne, my personal, pure honest opinion is I’d love more players to be able to enjoy it.

Especially as a game that is now coming of age, one of those games of the past that gets lost on older hardware—I think any game like that, it’d be nice to have an opportunity for more players to be able to experience that and relive this relic of the past.

So as far as I’m concerned, that’s definitely not something I’d be opposed to.”

Despite it being undoubtedly among the best Soulsborne games with a community demanding something, Sony has been silent, leading the community to continue to call for some sort of remake. Miyazaki previously said he was “very happy” to see gamers calling on Sony to greenlight a remake of Bloodborne back in February.

Considering Elden Ring has proven how profitable the Soulsborne genre can be and that was just off the back FromSoft’s legacy, imagine how much it could make if it was to finally release a game fans have been pleading for since before the PS4 was the previous-gen console. We now have Shadow of the Erdtree coming out next week, which will surely spike the 2022 Soulsborne entry’s sales.
