Games Done Quick, the video game speed running event that has raised millions for charity over the years, has announced that it will be raising money for those affected by Hurricane Helene in the United States. The Disaster Relief Done Quick stream will take place from Friday, October 11 to Sunday, October 13.

The event will be raising money for Direct Relief, a nonprofit based out of California.

“Direct Relief has already offered assistance to more than 50 safety net healthcare providers in the storm’s path and will continue assessing the needs of impacted areas and providing resources such as emergency medical supplies, hygiene kits, and transportation support,” the event’s release read.

The storm has seen millions lose power, damage to homes and local businesses, and taken the lives of over 200 people.

If you are interested in participating in a run during the event, submissions are open until October 6. The event will be streamed live on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel. All donations made during the Games Done Quick stream go directly to Direct Relief for support of Hurricane Helene victims.

Insider Gaming offers our thoughts and condolences to everyone impacted by the hurricane in the southeast United States.
